Charging & Storage Tips
- Use a charger or solar controller with a dedicated LiFePO₄ profile (approx. 14.4–14.6V absorb).
- Avoid long “float” at high voltage – lithium does not need extended float like lead-acid.
- For maximum life, aim to operate between roughly 10–90% SOC and avoid repeated full 0% discharges.
- Do not charge below 0°C unless specifically allowed in the Renogy manual.
- For long-term storage, leave at ~40–60% SOC and top up every 3–6 months.
Quick FAQ
Can I use this battery with my existing AGM charger?
Many “smart” chargers can be set to a suitable lithium voltage, but for best performance and battery life we recommend a lithium-compatible charger or DC-DC. Check your charger’s manual or contact us for advice.
Can I run an inverter from this battery?
Yes – this battery is suitable for use with quality 12V inverters within the BMS current limits. Match inverter size, cable gauge and protection devices to your system design.
Can I connect multiple batteries together?
Renogy Core LiFePO₄ batteries can typically be connected in series and/or parallel when installed as a matched set. Always follow the official Renogy instructions for maximum strings, wiring and commissioning.
Is Bluetooth required for the battery to work?
No – the Bluetooth feature is for monitoring and diagnostics only. The battery operates normally even if you never use the app, but the live data is extremely helpful for managing an off-grid system.
