Choose it for compatible 12V equipment requiring a conventional flooded starting battery. Check the mower's minimum CCA/Ah requirements, battery tray, overall height, LUG terminals, positive/negative positions, cable reach and hold-down. A matching mower brand or similar battery code does not guarantee fit.
12N24-3 is the right-positive layout; 12N24-4 is the opposite layout. Compare with the terminal edge facing you and check the actual battery markings. Do not swap the two unless your equipment manufacturer confirms compatibility.

Will the 12N24-3 fit my mower or equipment?
Match the 184 × 125 × 159mm case and 172mm total height, LUG terminals, assembly 0 layout and hold-down to your equipment. Check seat or cover clearance and make sure the cables reach without stretching or crossing.
Check polarity before ordering. With the terminal edge facing you, 12N24-3 has the positive terminal on the right. 12N24-4 has the opposite layout. Confirm against the battery's + and − markings rather than relying on a photo angle.
This is an engine-starting battery, not a replacement traction battery for an electric mower or a deep-cycle power supply. Your exact equipment model and installation determine the correct battery; do not assume compatibility with every mower, tractor or truck.

Battery care & safe installation
Follow conventional flooded-battery care, not an AGM or sealed maintenance-free routine. If the supplied battery has serviceable filler caps, check electrolyte levels according to its instructions and use distilled water for routine top-ups when required. Do not add acid for routine maintenance or open a sealed case. Keep the battery upright, securely mounted and its vents unobstructed.
Use charging equipment suitable for this 12V flooded lead-acid battery. SSB lists a 2.4A minimum charge current but does not state a maximum on its current 12N24-3 page. Confirm the correct charging profile and current limit for the supplied battery before use. The listed 65°C maximum temperature is not a charging-temperature instruction.
Confirm activation before installation. Ask whether the supplied battery is activated and ready to fit. The current model listing does not establish the delivery or initial-filling condition; any initial filling, activation and first charge must follow the manufacturer's instructions. Ask us to confirm preparation rather than assuming it is ready to install.
For seasonal storage, follow the mower and charger manufacturers' instructions and check charge condition before returning to use. Work in a well-ventilated area away from sparks and flames, and use an appropriate battery recycling service for the old unit.

SSB provides an equivalent replacement for qualifying manufacturing faults within the applicable period, after assessment and with proof of purchase. Manufacturer cover is for the original end user; transport to and from SSB testing centres is at the customer's cost. Replacement does not restart the original warranty.
Exclusions include incorrect application, flat batteries, normal wear, physical damage and incorrect charging. Your Australian Consumer Law rights apply in addition to the manufacturer warranty and are not limited by these terms.
