Phone app
An app-based monitor can keep the installation compact. Check device compatibility, connection range and whether you need information when your phone is unavailable.
Dedicated display
A fixed display may be easier to check at a glance. Confirm the display, cable and monitor work together; a display is not automatically included.
Three checks before you order

Size for the current
Have the installer check continuous and peak loads, charging current and the shunt specifications. Do not choose from battery Ah alone.

Match the environment
Check enclosure rating, mounting position, moisture and exposed connections. The rating of one component does not make the entire installation weatherproof.

Set up the estimate
Battery capacity and charging parameters need correct configuration. Synchronisation establishes the full-charge reference; incomplete current measurement or wrong settings can make the estimate misleading.

Questions before you buy
Is a monitor a BMS?
No. Monitoring is not the same as battery protection or charge control. A monitor does not replace a battery-management system or a compatible charger.
Will it show exact remaining runtime?
Treat runtime and state of charge as estimates affected by changing loads, settings and battery condition.
Can I install it anywhere in the circuit?
No. Correct measurement depends on the installation arrangement. Use the model instructions and a suitably qualified installer rather than a generic wiring recipe.
