How much capacity do I need?
Start with daily consumption in watt-hours and the time between charging opportunities. Allow for permitted discharge depth, battery condition, temperature and system losses. Appliance startup demand can exceed normal running demand; a larger Ah number alone does not confirm suitability.
Can I replace AGM with lithium?
Treat it as a system compatibility check, not an automatic drop-in swap. Confirm the exact batteryβs charge and discharge limits, the settings of every charger, installation location and any protection requirements with the manufacturer or a suitably qualified installer.
What should I send Suncoast?
Send vehicle and caravan details, your appliance list, existing battery and charger model numbers, inverter details, mounting-space dimensions and your suburb. Include safe-to-take label photos. Do not dismantle the system to obtain them.
Does a short drive or solar panel guarantee a recharge?
No. Energy returned depends on the equipment, conditions and time available. Plan how you will replace daily use, and have system design and installation assessed by a suitably qualified installer. This guide is a buying checklist, not wiring instructions.
